That's what I do too. The main thing, maybe even more important than
processing power, is screen real estate. The larger the screen and the
higher the resolution, the better. I'm using an Inspiron 8200 right now
with a resolution of 1400x1050, which I think is an excellent choice.

It takes some doing, but there still are laptops that sport a PIV or a fast
