IBX und Firebird sind keine sehr glückliche Kombination.

und warum nicht? Ich habe schon einige Programme in dieser Kombination laufen und bisher keine Probleme gehabt. Sowohl Embedded als auch Client / Server.

IBX wird nicht gegen Firebird getestet und es gibt auch keinerlei Unterstützung in diese Richtung. Neuere Funktionen von Firebird werden nicht unterstützt.
Probleme sind mit speziellen Zeichensätzen und TIMESTAMP schon bekannt.
