Nur was nutzt ihm das, wenn er diesen Adapter nicht an die Tastatur
anschließt, sondern hinter dem Switch. Das wird nichts, es sei denn,

Erst(!) die Tastatur/Maus-Kombi von USB auf PS/2 umsetzen (sofern der
Adapter funktioniert oder es einen Konverter geben sollte) und dann
damit an die Eingangsschnittstellen eines Switches, der ausgangsseitig
sowohl USB wie auch PS/2 beherrscht, d.h. am Computer kommt native-USB
bzw. native-PS/2 an.

Was eleganter wäre, ich aber noch nicht gefunden habe, wäre ein
Switch, der eingangsseitig USB hat und ausgangsseitig gemischte
Schnittstellen. Aus irgendwelchen Gründen sind die Switche alle
voll-PS/2 oder voll-USB oder gemischt mit dem Eingang fix auf PS/2.

Jedenfalls in den vertretbaren Preisklassen. Die "oberen Zehntausend"
hab' ich nicht angeschaut: KVMs, die mehr kosten als das gesamte
Heimnetzwerk, halte ich für... ähem... unzweckmäßig :)

Günstig sind eierlegende Vollmilchsäue nie gewesen. Wenn er was leisten soll, msus er halt auch was kosten.
