OK. Also alle Daten sollen im gleichen Verzeichnis liegen, wie die
ausführbare Datei?
Aber "\.emacs.d\" wurde, wie gesagt, in "c:\...\Anwendungsdaten\"
bereits automatisch angelegt und nicht in
"C:\Programme\GNU\emacs-22.1\bin\".

(Noch finde ich mich in der Vielzahl der Möglichkeiten der Benutzung
der Hilfe (Menü "Help") nicht zurecht.)

Fang mit dem Emacs-Tutorial (Help / Emacs Tutorial [choose language])
an.

OK. Erledigt.
Weggelassen habe ich alle Beschreibungen zu Sonderbedienweisen zum
Markieren/ Bewegen/ Löschen(Killen), da ich zunächst diejenigen Kürzel
weiter anwenden werde, die ich auch in sämtlichen anderen
Texteingabeumgebungen nutze.
Falls Emacs mal "mein Haupt-Editor" wird, werde ich mir die -
durchdachte und interessante - Bedienweise näher ansehen.

(Nein, keine Sorge ;), ich werde jetzt hier nicht regelmäßig
berichten, welche Tutorials ich (nicht) durchgearbeitet habe.)

Das Tutorial ist gut und verständlich geschrieben, BTW.

Zwei meiner Entdeckungen:
Im text-mode werden Apostrophe als Teil eines Wortes betrachtet. Sehr
gut. Hat mir in anderen Texteingabeumgebungen gefehlt.
Und die inkrementelle Suche mit C-s ist klasse.

Anschließend solltest du dich am besten mit Info vertraut machen
(insbesondere die Index-Suche ist sehr mächtig und wird häufig
übersehen).

Das Verzeichnis, welches Du vermutlich meinst
C:\Programme\GNU\emacs-22.1\info\
habe ich gefunden.
Es enthält wohl alle Dateien im sog. Info-Format.

Als Zugriff in Form einer Volltextsuche meinst Du "Menü Help > Seach
Documentation > Search Documentation String C-h d", richtig?
