i have a long list of things that "might become answers".
number-to-words is on that list, and i've got a skeleton for an answer
already, just waiting for me to flesh it out.

The problem is, I suspect, that this is NOT a Frequently-Asked Question.
It's an Infrequently-Asked Question...

the boundary is fuzzy, but anyway, there's further constraint: i need
to know how to answer a question. there are questions that are simply
impossible to answer in a narrative style, such as the faq offers by
default: one can attack such problems in the faq, but it needs a lot
of self-confidence. (it took well over 10 years to get installing
things into the tree-structured answer you see in
