Hi all
I am sorry if this is a common question but I have googled and look
for an answer at this newsgroup and I haven't been able to find
anything useful.
I am looking for information related to what is the standard way (an
style guide) to type math using latex. Unfortunately, most of the
documentation I have found it is related to how to type math using
latex. I am able to write math using latex but I do not know what it
is the preferred way to enter, for instance, an inline expression such
as $\omega=12$ rad/s or it is recommended to use $\omega=$12 rad/s or $
\omega=12\,\mbox{rad/s}$. This is just an example, but I am dealing
with a very big document which is shared with other colleagues. We are
discussing about the way to type mathematical information and
everybody seems to have its own opinion and of course we would like to
have some general style guide or accepted rules in order to follow
them. Any links, books, documents, web pages related to this topic are
really appreciated as well as any suggestion you have to focus on
proper typing of math using latex.
Thanks in advance for all your help
Regards
In addition to the responses you've already gotten, this little book has
helped me in the past:
"Mathematics into Type" by Ellen Swanson, published by the American
Mathematical Society.
