document files, e.g., pstricks-doc.pdf?

What I'm tentatively planning on updating is all files from base.zip,
pst-circ.zip, and xkeyval.zip. Is this the right thing to do?

How should I know? I can't see what versions you have. I can only say
that your warning comes from the old pstricks. But a warning is only a
warning. So think a bit before you update a lot of files.
