Probably not. Make a folder-tree
C:\KurtsLocalTexmf\tex\latex\facsimile
Put your .cfg in this folder.
Then go to miktex settings, tab roots, add KurtsLocalTexmf as a new
root. (perhaps you need admin rights for this).
Thanks Ulrike. That was a great tip.
I decided to put the KurtsLocalTexmf directory in the Windows "My
Documents" hierachry for security reasons. That way personal
information in the configuration file is not accessible between two
users on one computer.
I do not like the way that breaks encapsulation of the information need
to create a final document and makes the tex file not portable between
two computers. But there are trade-offs in everything!
