Also, is it safe to run Beamer and Prosper with XeLaTeX? I found that
Prosper's default bullets need to be replaced because they're .ps files
that XeLaTeX doesn't like.
If you are using the version of XeLaTex that came with the MacTex/
texlive package, you might want to update beamer:
http://www.tug.org/mactex/morepackages.html
You should provide a minimal example so we can see what you are
doing. I'm not sure what your icons are, but I found only a few .ps
files in my beamer package, and they had pdf counterparts:
beamericonarticle.20.pdf. You might need to add some options to say
that your program is (or is similar to) pdflatex. For example
\usepackage[pdftex]{graphicx}. That will change the default type of
graphic files that are used and might fix the problem.
If the fix above doesn't work, try to show a complete latex document
that has the minimal number of packages and code but still shows the
problem.
