log file

I use texnicCenter editor.
The error windows shows the list of errors and the lines where these
errors occur.
Unlike Winedit it doesn't show on latex windows document where
actually the errors are. How can I do that?
Also, unlike Winedit, Texnic doesn't show the ms-dos window while
compiling the document.
