Hi all,
I have a problem. I am new to LaTeX and tried to get on with it. I open
one of my word file (.doc) in TeXnicCenter. It did not work that well
of course. But it resulted also somehow in compromiting my .doc file.
Now I cannot open it clearly anymore with a word programme. I just got
a series of #### and some of the text that was written. Can someone
please help me recover the text on my .doc file? It is important, as it
is a chapter of my thesis.
The good news is: you've learned a valuable lesson: back up important
documents frequently. Moreover, you'll be able to rewrite your thesis
chapter much more quickly the second time! The bad news is: you'll
probably have to rewrite your thesis chapter.
If you're lucky, you may be able to load your corrupted document into a
text editor and copy any remaining text onto the clipboard, then paste
into Word. You should, of course, work on a copy of the corrupted file,
to eliminate the possibility of it getting corrupted even worse.
