Hello all,
I wonder if it is possible to use the fancyheadings packge together

But I think IEEEtran2e is old and exists no more. It appears to
be using obsolete commands and styles. There exists a class,
IEEEtran.cls, from 2005 that might be better.

IEEEtran2e loads the obsolete times.sty. Current IEEEtran handles
fonts more correctly.

<argument> \sl
Fancyhdr contains the obsolete font command \sl. This should be
\slshape. Most current classes define these obsolete commands for
exactly this purpose (i.e., packages that haven't replaced them).
Current IEEEtran class does this.

\f@ncyocf ->\rm
\rm is also obsolete (should be \rmfamily). It, too, comes from
fancyhdr. Current IEEEtran defines this as well.
What could be problematic here?
IEEEtran2e is too old.
