Doesn't it look a bit lopsided to you?
As for a tex file to reproduce it, I would expect anything using that
substring with no nondefault formatting would do the job. It may be
specific to using MiKTeX 2.5 and the previewer that comes with it, and
the default compile, just latex thefile.tex.
In addition to the above, we need to know:
- your screen resolution setting
- the physical size of the document
- your magnification setting
- you settings for bitmap font generation
- whether or no the displacement persists when zooming in or when
printing
I can't reproduce it and suspect that it's a minor glitch in previewing
under very specific conditions.
