Well, it's small and quick, but I didn't have much luck with it
(testing on my much-abused Fujitsu Stylistic 2300 running Windows
2000).
- I couldn't get folding to work, and it's hidden away on a sub-menu
with no on-screen / in-text controls AFAICT, so even if it worked,
would be of limited usefulness IMO.
- similarly the compile command is hidden away in a sub-men ---
bizarre UI choice IMO.
- there're a number of typos in the menus --- quaint and charming but
distracting, notably:
Transponce - transpose?
Go botoom - Go to bottom?
Fold this group with all childs - Fold this group with all children?
Autocomplection - Autocompletion?
Somehow Courier New is entered all in lowercase in the preferences...
Anyway, the author's English is much better than my Russian, so I'm not
complaining, just offering hopefully constructive criticism.
There's a page on Sourceforge for those who're curious:
http://visualtex.sourceforge.net/
An example file would be nice.... unfortunately, the help file is an
all-but empty stub.
There's a typo in the macro reference help file though:
Relefence - Reference?
And I didn't manage to get it to crash (which I did led and every other
Scintilla-based editor I've tried if memory serves).
And for those who might wish to complain --- there're a number of other
things already using ``visualtex'' as a name, or so searching on Google
seems to indicate FWIW (but maybe they're all typos or something).
