fancyhdr problem

Hi, group buddies,

I construct a framework for my document, using fancyhdr style. All of
contents are enclosed by this framework. However I've been struggling
with a problem for a long time.
The left border of the framework starts at "one inch + \hoffset +
\oddsidemargin" in horizontal. At the same time, the starting
horizontal position for contents is also the same value. As a result,
document content sticks with the left border of framework. The
outlooking is bad!
Now I want to make the document content separate a piece of white space
from the left border in horizontal. Do you have any ideas to solve this
problem? Or are there any alternative ways to make it done?
