Situations where using the original fonts is disallowed are rare, the possibility to use the original fonts is usually just not mentioned.
I can see already the postings 'my university requires ... margins 1", 12pt Arial/TimesNewRoman' and some funny chap recommends geometry.sty with the winfonts package.
Perhaps better if you could provide cyrillic/greek/vietnamese/math if the above mentioned fonts have the required glyphs and no superior solution exists in the TeX world already.
Parts of this package are quite likely to cause confusion for newbies.
the adobe/adobe-alike equivalents already cause confusion where people are trying to submit facing a demand for the ttf rip-offs of the fonts in question.
Sorry, I don't understand this one.
