Hey, all. I've been playing with MetaPost for a logo, with some text (in ygoth) and some shading. It won't come out right just by metaposting it, but it's working when I prepare a LaTeX file consisting solely of the graphic and then dvips it (as Peter Wilson describes in metafp.pdf). The resulting MetaPost file looks perfectly fine. The text is quoted, not btexed, as that was the only way I was able to successfully make the ygoth text appear the way and in the place it should. It also converts to pdf well.
However, Ghostview tells me that converting to eps won't work, and trying it confirmed this. While the graphic still looks fine, the bounding box is wrong; it takes up the entire page. I'm therefore unable to include it in files unless I devote an entire page to it; since it's a logo and I only want to put it in a letterhead, that obviously isn't satisfactory.
So how can I include the ps in a LaTeX document without giving a 1/2 wide graphic an entire page? Thanks.
Don
could you explain more explicitly what you have done, perhaps even posting some code. A vague discription isn't that helpful.
