tetex on Suse 9.3

Hi,

I have run into a strange problem, on my Suse 9.3 FTP install.

I need to compile a LaTeX document, and install Kile, tetex, and various
other programmes, through YaST. The packages seem to downlad and install
without problems.

But compiling through Kile don't work?. The Latex command is called, but
nothing starts. All I get is Kile running through the code, and exiting
with "exit status 127".

If I try to compile throught the commandprompt;

>latex document.tex

I get "Command not found".

I tried reinstalling tetex, but that didn't help.

Any tips?

Kind regards,

Stig
.
