Newbie Alert! Editing with Adobe Acrobat



I'm a new user of Adobe Acrobat, and I can't even get started!

I've got a PDF that I want to edit (mostly removing blocks of text), then
save as a new document.

All I seem to be able to do is cross-out, how do I simply delete it?
