Hmm, yes, it appears that it was. It looks like my code isn't too hot at
recovering when MySQL decides to break connections, so I have to restart
it manually. Service may be a little patchy until I get chance to fix
that (tonight, hopefully)...

At least it gives me the opportunity to post an amusing error message:

Conversation with NNTP host has failed.
A network error occured during read:
No error
