I have been unable to track any images down.
The ROMs fit into Interface 2.
The surprise is the second picture which shows that they were prepared
by Dr. Ian Logan in 1983 and that the network and RS232 are tested. I
assume that they are unable to use Interface1 routines and so they must
have an entire set of routines to drive the network and RS232.
Dr. Logan developed the microdrive software.
Martin Brennan developed the network software.
The RS232 routines are thought to be adapted from the ones removed from
the ZX Spectrum ROM before production. They are very similar to the
ones used in the 128K Spectrum.
In looking for images, I found one guy who had an Eprom on a bare board
with 'Thorn' on it. This is likely as Thorn EMI made the Interface 1.
There is a test tape on WOS [Utilities] [Test Program] which has a
subset of these tests - No Network or Microdrives - although curiously
it is dated April 1985 by Dr. Ian Logan and will clone itself to a
blank microdrive.
It also contains a ROM (checksum) test which is, naturally, absent from
this ROM.
Part of this suite of software appears in the Amstrad Plus 3 type ROMS.
These test are accessed by first pressing BREAK during reset and then
QAZPLM.
