Like any media, mdvs are only reliable if you look after them, keep them in
even temperatures, etc. They were designed fairly fault tolerant... they had
to be, the construction of the drive was crap!
I think the biggest problem I had with mdvs was the Spectrum crash that
erased the drive just completely. No amount of write protection could save
it.
