Just make sure to keep the tapes (as a backup)...


It´s difficult to say which medium is more reliable. Both can have
total dropouts, a catastrophe when having digital data.

I would say for Audio and Video is a tape more raleighable and can last
much longer. e.g. old BW Movies.


I have had only one or two cassettes (best quality CC-RW, CrO2 or ME)
with total dropouts, mostly a missing (deaf) stereo-side for while
(ME), and so.

But I also have CD-R´s loosing their data.... crunch, crunch... :-)


OT I have heard, a studio (radio-station) converted everything to CD
(main-archive) and twenty years after, the CD´s wind up.
Bad thing without a proper backup.
