I don't get your point here. They may be well permission denied, but you can
get them almost anywhere, so I'm assuming they are not serious enough to
take action. I feel that they may be worried about the concept and
characters being in the public domain. I never recall any objection to the
games themselves. As long as they continue to say that they remain their
property, anyone ripping off any of the characters for the purpose of making
money can be stopped.
