What do you have against google. I get messages sent to my ISP
(Natinaolkool POST and Telekom) faster from google, than back from my
ISP ;-). Right.
I do not know how they could manage this. But they did.

As long as I use usenet, I always took the ISP for it. Before, I had an
other ISP for Usenet.... holding messages (tested some weeks ago) from
January! The best usenet service (EUNet) I ever saw.
Well, this helps not much to you... but EUNet (I think the central
server is in Amsterdam) is very well..... the austrian, too!
And you get this good NEWS Service also with smallest Account possible!

My actual NEWS Server (ISP) got a while better :_).... holding MSgs
some weeks, and not five days as before.
