I remember the film "Two mules for sister Sarah", Clint Eastwood
Western. 1966.

In the beginning. You see the rider on the horse in the middle of the
screen, then the camera zooms back, back, and more and you see just a
mini shape of a horse and the widescreen landscape. Is this 3D? :-)
I was so amazed when I saw this the first time. My DVD Player is always
hanging (making still pictures) when such widescreen landscapes appear.
Data reduction i guess :-(

I have recorded this, at this time, with a VCR Recorder directly via
Air from the TV-Station. PAL, off course. Maybe 1980 or so... But the
picture quality (tape) was then better than today DVD´s. No still
pictures!

Digital pictures are jerking and dazzling. The Time between one picture
and the next is not recorded on celluloid when using digitally rendered
frames.
For technically unadvanced, nothing changes with the rendered frame in
the time of exposure. A real seeing is changing the outlook in atto
sec. and maybe less.

Nice, but useless. IMO.

Realtimes gfx (Games) on 8bit computer are plenty enough pleasure to
see.
PC just with DOS. Windows preemptive OS is not a good choice for
realtime.
The way to the CPU is totally blocked. Linux as well.
