xfig, IRIX 6.5.22m - Freeware and Nekochan

I am trying to get these to run on an O2 running 6.5.22m.

The problem is - neither versions will export - the following error
arises:

sh: fig2dev: not found

ghostscript and ghostview (SGI Freeware versions are installed.)

transfig is installed

I have used xfig on Indigo2 running up to 6.5.17m with no problems.

Any assistance or ideas of what I am missing graciously accepted.
