If you have programs on the flash card, can you run them from there?
Also, do you know if the SanDisk PCMCIA/CF adapter card with a
separate compact flash will work on the HP 200LX?

Easiest would be to use a more modern Sandisk flashcard. I personally use a
128MB Sandisk compact flash to store/transfer files on my 4MB 200LX.
