Old Avantgos on OS5 (Zire 21) ?

I recently got ahold of a simple Zire 21 for casual use, but the OS5
Avantgo is waaaay to much bloat. I do *not* need a 1.2 mb base
installation for a simple newsreader.

It's too bad that all the versions of Avantgo 4 (4.0 and 4.2) detect
OS5 and refuse to do its work. I don't even know if it actually works
or not, Avantgo simply refuses to go any further.

Anyways, is there a way to get smaller avantgo clients on Zire 21? Or
OS5? Like...a way to tweak avantgo 4.2 somehow. Or does Avantgo
3.x work on OS5? If so, does anyone have an installation
they'd willing to email me? Or a link.
