"Reset" Calendar synchronisation - how?

Hello
I've had a look around for the solution to my problem but not found it, so
I'm hoping someone here may be able to help.
I've got a Treo650 and primarily synchronise to Palm Desktop at home. I
tried sync'ing to Outlook 2000 at work to get my home and work diaries
together, but had tremendous problems due to the flakiness of the new
outlook conduits. I won't bore you with the details, but in a nutshell, I
ended up having to overwrite the Treo's Calendar to get Outlook and the Treo
to successfully sync.
I now want to sync the Treo back with Palm Desktop. However, I want the
Calendar synchronisation to be treated like a brand-new, first ever sync and
merge the two sets of entries (I believe that doing a regular hotsync would
delete all of one side's entries)
What do I do?
Regards,
