Scrolling screen on treo 650???

My wife has been having some major problems with her treo 650. Her original one just basically died, so sprint gave us a new one (I bought the extended service plan), which mostly works, but has been having more than it's share of goofball problems. The most annoying problem is this wierd scolling screen thing that happens once in a while - it's like the vertical adjust on an old tv set is wet all wrong - the whole screen is scrolling down over and over at a very high rate of speed, so essentially you just have lines on the screen. When you press the buttons the lines change colors and stuff, so the thing is still working sort of, but is unuseable. I've found that removing the battery for a minute or so will fix it. So it looks like this one will go back too, but does anyone know about this, and what causes it?
