Hi,

One way is to plug your card into a card reader that is plugged into a
port of your desktop. Another is to install the program CardExport
(http://www.softick.com/cardexport/), which will allow you to launch
your card from the handheld as an auxillary drive on your desktop.
Then simply drag-&-drop or copy/move the file you want to your card.
I've created two folders on my SD card, one called Temporary and one
called Storage. If the file, in any format, is to be transported or
otherwise kept temporarily then that's the folder its transfered to.
Long term or permanent files go to the other folder, of course.
You can create folders on your card with file utility programs such as
RescoExplorer, Filez and such. These programs also allow you to
move/copy/rename and perform other functions. With RescoExplorer, you
can zip and unzip files and folders right on the handheld.
Also, RescoExplorer can edit associations. You can then specify, for example, that all 3gp files (phone movies) must be handled by the Explorer, and it will ask you where you want to save the file (Harddisk, SD...).
Note that I found out that, though RescoExplorer is set as default handler for unknow files, it doesn't always work. To get it to work, I created a new association for 3gp files, and RescoExplorer as handler.

Laurent
