The iQue is reviewed on my site. I use it a lot and like the 3600 for the larger screen. It is fully capable however it does need window to run the map load program. You can sync on a mac but the map loader won't run. Once you get the maps loaded it should work ok without a pc.

I've been looking at the gps/palm solutions for a while. Actually, I had one years ago; a magellan plug in to a handspring visor. Pretty minimal.
Lost the cradle for the visor so I got a Zire 31 a couple of months ago.
(Is that zi-er or zee-ray? Looks like zee-ray to me now)
Actually, I bought a Zire 71 and tom-tom bluetoothed gps but it wasn't complete and I cancelled the purchase thru Amazon. They refunded me the money.
Now I find that Costco.com has the Garmin IQue 3200 for $299. Apparently Amazon formerly sold this model for $350 or so, but now they only list a price of $499 thru a third party seller.
Now, that looks like a good price and I almost bought one the other day. But, I use a Mac. The Garmin palm desktop says it is windows only. Hm, says I; how can they have a separate desktop program? How can a mac desktop program not sync with the 3200? Does anyone have insight on this? I could use a windoz box next door I suppose.
Garmin does make a bluetooth reciever for linking to laptops and pocket PC's but they don't support Palm pilots with it. That seems strange, unless they are getting ready to cancel the palm IQue's. Do the win pocket pc's sell that much better really?
