OK, looking through the wonderful sites on the Internet, I was able to
locate where the spare part came from. It is located on the black piece
for the earphone jack.
A high res picture for this is at
http://www.pspilot.de/ppptun3/t3_09h.jpg - a little bit below the top
right corner on the black horizontal piece...you can see the fibres
hanging too!
Now the big question? What is this used for - most likely for some kind
of shielding as mentioned by the previous poster? How important is it
that I need to reattach it (yes, I know that it is important since it
was shipped that way)? What is the best way to reattach it? ie solder,
glue, etc.
Thanks all of the help in this adventure. Also, learnt that the
spinning 'thingie' is for the vibrate mode - forgot about it.
Cheers
