I have a Z72 and I USUALLY get ~3 hours reading on a full charge with BT on
and the backlight around 50%. I USED to get nearly 5 hours -- but my Zire
is well over a year old now and I use it CONSTANTLY.

With those off, I can usually get about an extra 2 hours out of it. I also
have a little battery pack/USB thingy I take with me on long trips/camping.
I expect in another year I'll be forced to replace the battery.
