In terms of functionality, it has native support for PowerPoint files.
In terms of usability, the handheld apps now have optional scrollbars
and toolbars. That's about all you get for upgrading from v6 to v7.
There's also the fact that you'd be upgrading from the "Professional"
edition (bundled with your T|E) to the "Premium", which means you get
a spelling checker for Word To Go and charts with *** To Go.
If you don't use DTG6 very much I'd suggest hanging on to your $19.99.
I'm still considering upgrading myself, as I use *** To Go a lot.
I've installed the demo version and am generally underwhelmed by it.
The new UI looks nice but the toolbars and scrollbars take up more
space than the old design, so you gain some and you lose some. The
customizable toolbars are useful, but I wish they were a bit smaller
and why on earth isn't there a "Find Next" button?
Native support for PowerPoint files isn't a big feature for me, nor is
the spelling checker. I tried the charting function, but I couldn't
even get a simple line chart working the way I wanted so either I'm
doing something wrong or it's less useful than it looks (and it does
look pretty). Could be the former, but I wouldn't rule out the latter.
