Yes, this should all work - when you install the DD drives, be sure to
update your copy of N* DOS to let it know that it has double-sided
drives. This is just a byte you patch in the lower DOS area - details
are in the NorthStar manual (available on my site).

Assuming your DOS is configured correctly, you should not have
to tell NST "T=70" to read DS disks, as it defaults to this if N* DOS
indicates double-sided drives - You would have to use "T=35" to
read only side-1 (ie: single-sided disk).

Maybe I am going blind or something but I have read the System manual
cover to cover and the System Software manual too and cannot find out
how to do this. Would you please point me in the right direction for
the instructions on to patch NS DOS to natively support 70 tracks?

Am I missing a manual? Sorry to be a pest. Thanks!
