News Server question

Currently nntp.aioe.org as my server. Any recommendations for a cheap or
inexpensive alternate?

Has anyone used the Newsguy Mini Account? The Mini Account looks like a
good deal at just 24.00 a year. I have not DL a binary file in years so
the three GB a month should be plenty?

Does google or Yahoo have servers that are not web based? Actually did
look but all the links seemed to just try and sell me something.
