Canada disagrees. $1 and $2 bills were constantly being handled and used
for payments so they wear down much faster than $20 bills.

Going from paper to coin for $1 and $2 saves a lot of money because the
coins last many years instead of just 6 months.

For larger denomination bills, counterfeit measures become more
important than durability.
