Michelle Steiner:
Realistically, I don't need a new computer; the one I have does
everything I need, and it is capable of running lion. Furthermore,
I have better things to do with my money (like pay off bills).
So I'm going to forego buying a new computer and buy Lion instead.
Alan Browne:
Ah, restraint. Lovely to behold, terrible to suffer!
Davoud:
What do "realistically" and "need" have to do with buying a new Mac? And
what is this "restraint" concept? This is all new stuff and I'm eager to
learn!
Michelle Steiner:
It involves such concepts as $1500 in dental bills.
Barry Margolin
Teeth are way overrated.
$1500? Hah! $1500!!?? Har, har har! I spent, out of pocket, the cost of
a decent compact car on dental implants early this year. $1500!? Not
worth stooping to pick up if it fell out of my pocket on the way to the
dentist's office.
Thinkin' of getting a new iMac soon, even though the one machine on
which I have installed Lion so far, a Core i7 17" MB Pro, runs great.
As will my wife's hot-rod 27" iMac. Don't know about this older Core2
Duo 2.6GHz MB Pro, but I think it will be OK, too.
Realistically, I /do/ need a new computer because I want to run
Aperture, Photoshop CS5, and FCP X simultaneously. My wife's iMac does
that easily, my best MB Pro does it /pretty/ well. The latest iMac will
eat that combo for breakfast.
