This link has a summary of Lion OS X 'features' and changes.
http://www.appleinsider.com/topics/Inside_Mac_OS_X_Lion.html
Some curious ones:
Aqua tone down
Dropping FTP
Replacing Samba
Remote lock/wipe/admin
Crash or Continue option
iOS inpired "about this Mac" - what's wrong with the existing one?
Powerful one:
"versions". Unlike prior speculation (me) this is not VMS like versioning ( Afile.FOR;12, Afile.FOR;13 ...) but single files saved with their prior versions embedded (assume some sort of markup language within the file. And a Time Machine like ability to go back to prior versions.
and
A new Disk encryption scheme that is more sophisticated than the FileVault to date. (I imagine that is part of the support for the "lock/wipe" as well).
