I have no real need to change DNS unless there is some kind of security

Should I consider changing?

If OpenDNS is working for you (as it is for me), then why bother with
the change? The performance statistics I've seen for US-bound users
show that OpenDNS generally is equally fast or faster than Google
Public DNS. (Overseas users might see performance improvements, though.)

And, AFAIK OpenDNS doesn't do tracking, but I could be wrong.

You seem to be mostly right:

From their privacy disclosure page:

For its DNS services, OpenDNS temporarily stores logs to monitor and
improve our quality of service, and to collect high-level aggregate
Statistics. For customers without an account, OpenDNS generally
removes the IP address from its logs within 2 business days, except
for backup or archival copies which are not generally accessed in the
normal course of business.

Presumably, anyone too worried about privacy acceses OpenDNS
"without an account". Which anyone can do by simply putting
the OpenDNS IP addresses into one's network config as his
DNS servers.
