I generally use OpenDNS (when away from home) or my ISP's DNS when at my

I have no real need to change DNS unless there is some kind of security
or other non obvious benefit.
Should I consider changing?
If OpenDNS is working for you (as it is for me), then why bother with
the change? The performance statistics I've seen for US-bound users
show that OpenDNS generally is equally fast or faster than Google
Public DNS. (Overseas users might see performance improvements, though.)
And, AFAIK OpenDNS doesn't do tracking, but I could be wrong.
Also, I haven't had the problems Jamie mentions. Maybe it's just that
Sauron wasn't really destroyed after all, but is working as a tour guide
in Rotorua while tweaking the molten core to disturb comm links.
This forum thread says it all really about my experience and the crap
support <http://forums.opendns.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=2279>.
It was never resolved and I switched back to using my ISP's DNS servers,
and now use Google's with zero problems so far.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
