Forgot to check and see which printers were compatible with 10.6 before
upgrading. My HP PSC 1210xi is not on the list and I can't find any
alternate drivers that are compatible. I've pulled some HP and Epson
possiblities off of Apple's compatibility list but does anyone have any
real world experience? This is just for home use and WiFi would be nice
but not necessary? Thanks.
Personally, I would stick with Canon for ink jet printers, but more
because I have had a great experience with my i9900 than anything having
to do with compatibility. That said, I have read that there are a *lot*
of people complaining that 10.6 has rendered their HP printers unusable.
So I might stay away from HP specifically just based on that. These are
just my opinions, though.
The 10.6 Canon printer drivers don't support network printing. Canon
says they'll have working drivers in maybe 2-3 weeks.
The mx700sosxcp102600ea8-2 (downloaded yesterday) driver for my MX700
will print over the network.
Has anyone gotten CUPS-PDF to work with SL?
