Ah. I haven't run into that. I wouldn't, anyway, set a remote machine
for automatic updates. Maybe SU didn't have permission to write to the
bit of the remote machine where it stores its "all done" plist or
whatever (I'm just guessing, but I've had problems like that).

I think it was set that way on this particular machine because it had
previously been someone's work station. Live and learn!
