Tired of waiting forever for OpenDNS to resolve almost anything it was
presented with, I went back to my ISPs DNS. Much faster responses
immediately.

You have been forewarned.

Been there... WildBlue was slower than eskimo snot in February (and
intentionally blocked certain not-illegal-nor-pornographic-IP-addresses
for seemingly political reasons) so I tried OpenDNS and it was great.
Then I found out that our local (Mayberry RFD seems advanced) phone
company had "that DSL thing" for a year or so, switched over and
OpenDNS seemed like a 15-year-old hound. The ISP's servers are real
snappy!

YMMV

If you think WildBlue's DNS Servers are bad you should try
Starband/SpaceNet's..... These dufus's shouldn't be allow to
administer a PushBroom, let alone a DNS, eMail, Network System....
DNS and eMail are always crashing, or being rebuilt after the
last crash.... I've been a customer since the first 180 Modems were
installed and have NEVER used their stuff after the first week.
For a LONG time I used AT&T's DNS Servers, but switched to OpenDNS
when my Partners switched to them, for our Main WAN DNS Presents, a few
years back. We run our own local LAN DNS Servers, as well as eMail, Web,
and other InHouse Servers. I just got my Jabber Server running this
last winter, and that is WAY Cool....
