The reported process is "Finder". Is this truly a backupd crash log?

Unfortunately it doesn't give us a lot f clues as to why the Finder
crashed.

Have you tried creating a new Mac OS X user account and backing up from
it to see if the problem is confined to one user account?

Good point. Never thought of that. I'll have to dig up another hard
drive for the Time Machine and try it. If I use the same hard drive I
would think all my previous data would be wiped out.

Are you sure about that?? I'm pretty sure it would simply back up the
new user account along side the existing backup data.

Really....I guess that would make sense since TM must have been
designed with multiple users in mind. I'm not a single user so I
never thought about that. :) Thanks - once again.
