Your assertion that this is a problem does not project well onto the
bulk of Mac users. That probably explains why there is no Finder-based
solution.
That, of course, doesn't mean it's not a problem for you. For those not
familiar with your impressive credentials (I use your KIS), I take the

If anybody can produce a Finder-based workaround for this
feature/problem it has to be you.
