Make sure it is not set to wake on Ring from the modem in system
preferences Print & Fax, and the Options tab of Energy Saver. It could
be another USB device. Try unplugging all USB devices, including the
keyboard and mouse, and use the power button for sleep. Often the USB
circuitry in the display will fail and cause insomnia. Unplug the
display and see if the G5 will sleep/

Thanks so much. Unplugging the USB hub worked and powering it down
from the power button instead. I'm confused though as I had this set
up for many months with no issues like this. Any ideas why it would do
this now, or how to fix it? Doing some further testing it's the
Kensington wireless mouse dongle that's doing it. When I unplugged
it's dongle from the USB it stayed asleep. Even tried a brand new
wireless mouse I had like the other and it did the same thing. Strange
why it should do that all of a sudden when it was fine for months. I
didn't know before you could put the computer to sleep from the power
button. I will give Kensington a call and see if they have any ideas.
