Tried everything but the last one. I'll give that a go later on.

Ummm... Okay I just tried on this Mac Pro. Items I drag *into* the list
from outside of System Preferences are added at the bottom of the list.
Clicking and dragging items *already* in the list doesn't work at all
here (they just get highlighted). I seem to remember this being
different - maybe I'm remembering some old 10.4 behavior though.
